Imagine

"I Can Only Imagine", Mercy Me

I can only imagine
What it will be like
When I walk
By your side

I can only imagine
What my eyes will see
When your face
Is before me
I can only imagine

[Chorus:]
Surrounded by Your glory, what will my heart feel
Will I dance for you Jesus or in awe of you be still
Will I stand in your presence or to my knees will I fall
Will I sing hallelujah, will I be able to speak at all
I can only imagine

I can only imagine
When that day comes
And I find myself
Standing in the Son

I can only imagine
When all I will do
Is forever
Forever worship You
I can only imagine

[Chorus]

I can only imagine [x2]

I can only imagine
When all I will do
Is forever, forever worship you

When my mom passed away, I was trying to think of songs to play during her Memorial Service.  My dad had given me her day planner to look through, and this is the only song I found in her planner that she had written out in its entirety. My mom loved to play the guitar and would sometimes lead worship in small groups.  I included this song in her service.

A good friend of ours from church passed away last week.  I heard this song on the radio while I was at home, then we sang it in church on Sunday.  Hearing it makes me want to cry and rejoice at the same time.
